Most founders don't fail because their idea is bad.
They fail because of the hundred decisions that come after it. What to build first. Who to listen to. How to prioritise limited time, money and resources.
We’ve spent 10 years helping first-time founders get those early decisions right.
The patterns are impossible to ignore.
After helping more than 1,500 founders start their journey, we’ve seen the same patterns emerge time and time again. The difference between success and failure is rarely a single decision. It’s usually the accumulation of small decisions made over months and years.
- Most successful startups look very different from the original idea.
- The fastest way to improve an idea is to start talking about it early and often.
- A great product idea alone is rarely enough to build a profitable startup.
- Investors look beyond the product to the people, business and opportunity behind it.
None of these lessons are unique. They’re simply the patterns that emerge when you’ve spent a decade helping founders navigate uncertainty.
Why we started Hyper.
When we launched Hyper, we kept seeing the same patterns.
Talented people with great ideas were spending months, sometimes years heading in the wrong direction.
Not because they lacked intelligence, motivation or ambition. But because building a startup requires making hundreds of decisions you’ve never had to make before. What to build? Who to listen to? How to find customers?
Essentially, you don’t know what you don’t know.
We built Hyper to help founders navigate those decisions with greater confidence and to avoid making the expensive mistakes we see other’s make.
How we think about startups.
Most founders focus almost entirely on building the product. The challenge is that successful startups are built on more than the product alone. They require equal attention to the product itself, the business behind it and the pathway to growth. We believe all three foundations deserve the same level of focus from day one and everything we do is built around that belief.
-
Build a product people want to use
Launch with a live product designed around a real customer problem, not assumptions.
-
Launch a business designed to scale
Build the commercial foundations, positioning and growth strategy needed to create long-term value.
-
Unlock growth through investment
Create a clear pathway toward future investment and capital to help turn momentum into scale.
The right people change everything.
Launching a startup requires hundreds of decisions across product, customers, growth, operations and capital. Our team brings together the experience needed to navigate them with confidence.
Who you'll be working with.
These are the people who'll be in the room with you each week. They've sat beside hundreds of founders, and they'll tell you what they actually think.

Building a startup is difficult. Most founders are making decisions with limited information, limited resources and no clear playbook. My role is to help bring clarity to that process. As Co-Founder and CEO of Hyper’s Startup Studio, I’ve spent more than a decade helping founders navigate the journey from idea to launch, growth and investment. By working alongside more than 1,500 startups, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the challenges founders face and what it takes to build a business that lasts.

As Co-Founder of Hyper and CEO of Hyper Ventures, I work with founders to help them build businesses that are ready for growth and investment. Over the past decade, I’ve supported founders through fundraising, scaling and investor readiness, helping startups that have collectively raised more than $482 million in capital. My focus is connecting ambitious founders with the capital, networks and opportunities needed to accelerate their growth.
