Syed’s Journey with Hyper
“Before building Inventico and working with Hyper, I was working full-time as an IP manager at a Queensland-based cleantech start-up. I’m an IP professional and a registered Australian Trade Marks Attorney, and have experience across boutique agencies and larger firms. It was during that work that I realised something frustrating: during the startup and scale-up phase, technology companies often don’t have a competent, dedicated IP manager, and so valuable IP gets missed, left unprotected, or never commercialised.
When it came time to build a solution, the biggest challenge was knowing where to start. The problem was big, and I wanted to make the solution more digestible for users, but I didn’t have the experience or resources to bring it to life. Hyper helped refine what actually needed to be in the solution and guided me through a series of design phases to reach the right outcome for both the prototype and pitch deck. It gave the product a clear direction and a professional standard I couldn’t have achieved alone.
One of the most valuable things I gained through the process was the confidence to put myself out there and pitch. Because the work had been done through a structured process, I knew I wasn’t just selling an idea; I was presenting something real. Thanks to Hyper’s guidance, I was able to pitch at many events and showcases to put both myself and Inventico out there. Today, Joi, powered by Inventico, is live. It’s an AI-driven trademark filing platform built for Australian brand owners.”
