Liam’s Journey with Hyper
“Before starting Revide, I had never worked in technology. My background was in fast food, finance and the bridal industry, where I owned bridal stores. I saw firsthand how hard it was for brides to find the right bridal shop and for retailers to attract new customers. I knew there had to be a better way, but had no idea how to turn that into a real business.
What I lacked wasn’t belief in the idea. It was knowledge. I didn’t know how to build a product, what investors expected, or even what a pitch deck was. I needed someone to show me where to begin.
Hyper gave me the confidence and guidance I was missing. Ellis and Bill walked me through the startup process, from product development to fundraising, and the pace of the programme pushed me to stop overthinking and start deciding. Andrei and Cristina then turned the ideas in my head into Revide’s first wireframes, then full-colour designs. Many of the platform’s core layouts are still based on that early work.
The biggest shift for me was learning to think in systems rather than ideas. I thought our booking journey was three clicks, until I realised there were more than twenty decisions behind those clicks. That lesson still shapes how we build Revide today.
Today, Revide is live and growing. We took the business from an idea in a notebook to a working platform, and we’re now focused on growing across the UK bridal industry while laying the groundwork for Europe.
If you’ve got an idea but no background in tech or startups, I’d point you straight to Hyper. That was exactly my situation, and I wouldn’t have known where to start without them.”
